Product details

  • At nearly 1/4 pound lighter than the original Razor HD Gen II 1-6×24, the “E” (Enhanced) model allows for quicker transitions between targets and less arm fatigue during long days on the range. Perfect for the AR platform, the Gen II-E 1-6 is a top-tier optical solution for short to medium range tactical applications. Optically, it delivers the highest level of clarity, resolution, color accuracy, light transmission and edge-to-edge sharpness. True 1x on the low end is complimented by an ultra-forgiving eyebox with generous eye relief for a heads-up-display-like sight picture and a daylight bright illuminated center dot in the reticle for extremely fast target acquisition in close quarters. Ultra-sleek and built like a tank on a 30mm, aircraft-grade aluminum tube, the Razor HD Gen II-E 1-6×24 features ultra-low profile, capped windage and elevation turrets for streamlined performance. Zero-resettable turrets offer 50 MOA (20 MRAD) of adjustment in a single turn, ensuring ample travel.

Love the optic. Works great, looks great. Incredibly sad it didn’t come with a sticker, almost sent it back. Lol

I want to say that this is an awesome scope. The eyebox is amazing and the edges of the scope just disappear. Is it like a red dot at 1x? Absolutely not. If you’re sensitive to fisheye and want a true 1x, grab a red dot and call it a day. Is it close enough? For quick shooting, you won’t be able to tell the difference. The red dot is daylight bright and built like a tank. Glass is clear but not the clearest I’ve seen. It is built like an absolute tank and weighs like one. This thing is HEAVY! Awesome scope and I don’t regret buying it but know that it’s not the end all be all. Like everything in this sport, there will be a compromise somewhere. If you value eye box, durability and price this is the scope to get. If not, I’d look elsewhere.

After researching numerous scopes and multiple variables from FFP to SFP, reticles, glass, etc., I decided on the Vortex Razor HD-E Gen II JM-1 BDC (1-6x) and I couldn’t be happier! I haven’t had range time with it as of yet, but I’m sure it’ll be a GREAT DAY after mounting it and looking through some of clearest glass I’ve ever seen! It currently sit atop my BCM Recce 16 and the added weight is definitely manageable. The only negatives I came across were in regards to weight and mostly toward the older Gen II. SFP works me and this application which played a major factor in my decision. The reticle is beyond daylight bright by the way! I had to turn that thing down! I got it bore sighted in today and the only left is range time! Shipping was fast and product came packaged nicely with everything described. I highly recommend this scope if you’re cool with the price and weight.

Awesome LPVO! Purchased open box like new and everything looked awesome even the packaging. The optic itself is great with insanely clear glass and the color of the scope looks great on a black rifle, more of a dark bronze shade. Pops.

I did a LOT of research in my search for a great LPVO for my police patrol rifle. I watched lots of YouTube videos and read many articles about this particular optic. While it was first sold starting a few years ago, I believe that it is still a very nice contender today. The image is beautiful and the red dot makes target acquisition faster. The magnification dial is pretty stiff, so I recommend adding the Vertex lever to make it faster and easier. I think you will be quite satisfied with this optic. I have zero regrets.

Read, watch and compare all of the online resources, then come back and buy HERE! You can couple the outstanding Vortex lifetime warranty with Amazon’s terrrific return policy for even better protection. If you’re someone who doesn’t compromise when choosing optics, you may decide that this model of Vortex scope is a perfect fit for your recreational and sport shooting needs. At this price point I’d assume anyone reading this has done their homework. All of the commonly cited pros and one con hold true. I compared this side by side with similar models by Leupold, EOTech, Swarovski, NighForce, Trijicon (and more). I narrowed my search to six, and the glass on the Vortex ranked #1. It’s significantly heavier than its competition, and that might be a critical factor. But for that glass! Side by side with the other scopes, the Vortex image simply outshined the rest with unmatched light transferance, lens focus and clarity, and generous eye relief. I wanted an illuminated reticle for home defense and quick reflex target shooting. The red Vortex 1moa Red dot wasn’t my favorite (I wanted the Leupold Green Fire-Dot), but it performed well in the bright sun, and it does everything it’s supposed to well. The weight wasn’t a major factor in my use. I have this mounted on a standard AR-15 in 556, and the 1-6x zoom is just right for targets out to 500 meters. Targeting using the MOA adjustment was simple, with a 100m zero. I know durability is critical to many buyers, and by all accounts this scope carries a tank-like reputation. My knees would fall apart well before anything else if I had to low-crawl or hump-it in rough terrain. I’m more concerned that I don’t scratch the housing or to diminish its awesome and sharp appearance!

The Vortex Razor HD Gen 2-e did it for
Me. On a 9mm carbine or an AR platform, the image quality, 1-6x zoom, true zero, illumination option, and flawless functionality made this scope an all-around winner.

I own several high quality scopes and different optics, and some are better at one thing than another. Personal preferences and the intended use are major factors to consider. Have fun, and shoot safely with whatever Optic you choose.

I’m an avid shooter, new to 3gun. Purchased this to use in that venue. Mounted with aero precision ar mount. The glass is amazing. Quick few rounds through the gun to zero, with dot which is super bright, very quickly engaging targets as close as 25, far away as 150. Sight picture is amazing. Cost is high, but worth it. You get what you pay for. Have yet to try out at longer distance but will do so
