Mine was open. Looks ok but will take it to range tomorrow to verify. Seems like I paid thousands of dollars to get an open box item

Too expensive at Am prices of 3k, can pick it up 700 bucks less at other outlets, plus its not enough of an improvement over the GenII to justify the extra price unless you do not have to concern yourself with trivial mortal cares and want to a pretenstious prick who buys the most expensive items thinking it makes them better and therefore its going to make you shoot better because of it.
For us peons, save the extra money, buy a Gen II and learn to use it effectively and itll pay off more than being the price snob at the range

Amazing scope but I feel it should be for the price ! so I’m used to shooting with the mark 5 scopes which to me is the best I have used, but it’s not offered in a 1×10 .. vortex has done an amazing job with this scope.. The reason for 4 stars is the Very tight eye box!! on high power settings, and no parallax ( side or fine focus ) adjustment which made it impossible for me to get it set perfectly at near and far targets , a quick turn of the eye piece would pretty much take care of this or split the difference and it is very usable even good but not as good as it can be with a bit more focusing . I could be to critical as it is an amazing scope but wanted to share this info hope it helps

I have owned the razor 1-10x Before and kind of regretted selling it, so I got this one at a $700 discount, which is why the tape that tapes the box shut was already ripped, due to this probably being an open box item, but like others have complained about here I did not pay brand new price. $1699 shipped, a smoking deal that didn’t last long. If I see one at this price again I’m going to be snagging another.
Optic did not come wrapped in the plastic with the rubber band like vortex usually uses, but it is in pristine condition without one single scuff or piece of dust on it which tells me it might have been just a display item and hardly touched by human hands yet.
Shipped in two days just like stated. If you know how to use an optic like this, this is an outstanding optic for the price. I’m not going to say anymore because there are hundreds of reviews out there on these, some good some bad, but if you know how to adjust the diopter on this properly for 1x and 10x, this is a phenomenal optic.

Great LPVO. I was torn between paying $2000 for this and going with the Gen II for $600 less but I already have the Vortex PST 1-6 on one of my other rifles so I chose to go with this one and I’m so glad I did. Really love the 1st Focal point on this in comparison to the PST. The retical is so comfortably lit when you get to the 10x. And it’s so light. Love this.

Love this optic, but it has two issues – one of which keeps it from being 5 stars. First one, a minor issue, is the tight eye box on full magnification. For a 1-10 scope of this size and quality, I can easily live with the eye box. The second issue, the one that bothers me, is the way the stadia lines are set out on the (MOA) reticle. There is no line or clear point of reference for a 200 yard shot. If you zero the dot at 100, your next point of reference is the line for 300. Yes, the drop is minimal if you just use the dot at 200, but for this tier of an optic, I feel like I should be able to take a precise shot at 200 yards without having to approximate. There’s certainly space in the reticle for a 200 line, so I find it annoying that Vortex chose not to include one. Other than that, I’m really impressed with this scope.

I usually don’t criticize other reviews but truly I got this scope despite the bad reviews (on here and on YouTube) and I can tell you the bad reviews are based on a lack of knowledge or experience using scopes vs red dots. Firstly an LVPO is not a red dot and never will be so it’s senseless to compare. For an LVPO this has a very good eye box at 1X. I was pretty much as fast at acquiring targets as with my red dot (if there was a difference it was negligible). I barely notice any fisheye (something various YouTubers complained about) and when I did notice it it was only on very close objects and was only on the periphery of the image and didnt Bother me or effect my accuracy at all. At 10x yes the eyebox is tight but name a scope that’s not at 10x, they all are, that’s what I mean about experience, anyone who’s used long scopes before knows that, I actually thought this one was decent at 10x considering.
All in all this scope is amazing, super fast at 1x and VERY Clear glass for longer range/more magnification. This scope is very expensive but it’s by far my favorite one I’ve owned to date

Finally took delivery after the first order getting canceled. 1 the box was already opened. 2 the throw lever was missing. 3 the battery was dead but came with 2 spares Maxwell brand. 4 After several attempts to get it to focus I gave up. No matter how much I rotated the diopter it was always blurry. 5 the rectical had a really bad shadow effect and the brightness was terrible, essentially washed out by any daylight.
Now for the real kick in the gut. Amazon will only allow for pickup of the item. After attempting to negotiate other alternatives I was pretty much told to pound sand. So I took the Item to UPS just to see. They told me good luck. They never tell you when their coming and to top it off according to Amazon, it needs to be returned the same day as printed on the pick up label. So now we wait and see how much of a cluster F____ this is going to be.
I picked one of these up in the store before I purchased on Amazon. I was hoping to save a few bucks but it feels like a modern day Craigslist BS.
If you’re tempted to purchase on Amazon I would highly recommend at least for optics not to. This is my second time buying optics from Amazon and it seems like you getting second grade products thus the price reflection.
