I see people complaining about the turrets and equating soft-click with junk, but given their internal microbearings that’s a deliberate design choice, not a sign of cheapness. I have no problem with these turrets and rarely need to touch them post zeroing. That’s the point of a holdover reticle, after all. This is a *perfect* scope for mid-to-far range hunting (200-800 yards), and is not a PRS competition scope, nor for bench bunnies chasing 1/4 MOA against unmoving paper. The broad zoom range, bright clear glass, FFP holdover reticle, and light weight all combine to make this a key part of a successful hunter’s field kit. Some scopes in the same price class do have different, or even better, specific features, and I love thise too, but it’s all about tradeoffs or use-cases. In my opinion this scope is a fantastic balance of highest quality features and minimum downsides. I’ve bought two now, and have zero regrets.

Nothing good price for a light long distance scope

I have had a Viper PST Gen 2 for a while now and needed a new scope to put on my Sig Cross. Lightweight was a top priority as the PST weighs a bit over 2 lbs. The glass on the Razor is noticeably better than the Viper PST, clarity is much better on the Razor. Perfect magnification levels as well as the Reticle make this scope great for both long range precision shooting and hunting. Highly recommend this scope, worth the money.

This scope is okay for what it is but not good enough for the money. Tract makes a better product a little cheaper than this but warranty goes to the vortex. This scope has mushy turrets and I’d expect for $1,500 quality turrets. Instead it is junk as far as the turrets are concerned and I haven’t even tried dialing yet. The glass is very good and for a hunting scope only given the reticle option it comes with it is great for that to 500 yards. Anything further and I’m not sure you would want to hold off for wind and elevation. The illumination is good but is not the best nor the worse. The reticle is not really a hunting reticle and given the turrets are junk this scope is nothing more than a hunting scope or a target shooter on Sunday afternoon when time and money aren’t on the line. There are always pros and cons to everything in life but this scope doesn’t check many boxes for me and honestly I’d rather have double the weight for a much better scope that has reliability in its turrets. If you can’t reliably dial elevation and hold for wind it’s pretty much a useless spotting scope. Yeah the glass is great but if you want more there are other options out there…. Athlon, Tract and others even maven.

Amazing high quality worth every penny. This is my first First Focal Plane scope I had no idea how awesome it would be. The reticles are all enlarged as you zoom to a higher power it is so incredible. get one if you have the money.
